Last weekend my sister and I took a girls trip to Hudson, New York for a couple nights. I wasn't sure what to expect from the town but it ended up offering the perfect combination of relaxation and fun little activities. Molly and I stayed at the Rivertown Lodge which was a dream and I will definitely be going back. Fun fact, I found this hotel one night on Instagram and immediately texted my sister and said we had to go. The rooms were small but cozy, and perfectly decorated with a minimal and clean vibe. Also our bed was in a reading nook. I was getting serious apartment inspiration!
We spent Saturday and Sunday going on a hike, strolling in and out of the little shops along Warren Street, reading in our room, and of course, eating. Rivertown Lodge does brunch on the weekends and has a bar where we posted up each night. I had three things that I haven't been able to get off my mind just at the hotel: a bib lettuce salad with the most delicious za'atar buttermilk dressing that I have been trying to mimic (and failing), a salted butter waffle, and a light and stormy cocktail. We also went to Fish & Game, a restaurant that's been on my bucket list so I feel like my life is a bit more complete now. Hudson was the perfect location for a getaway out of busy NYC and I can't wait to plan another weekend trip with Molly!
